A traffic network is a virtual network that allows advertisers to play their ads on different websites. It allows advertisers to distribute different types of ads to different audiences and thus increase traffic to their websites. Targeting is a technique of advertising in which advertisers try to reach the most specific target groups possible. This is achieved by advertisers using certain characteristics such as age, gender and location to send relevant advertising to people who might be interested in their products or services. Another example of targeting is retargeting, where advertisers send specific ads to people who have previously been to their website.
