NoSQL is a collection of database technologies that differ from traditional relational databases. NoSQL databases are designed for horizontal scalability, fast analytics, high availability, and fault-tolerant replication. NoSQL databases can be useful in a wide range of use cases, especially when scalability and performance requirements are demanding. Most NoSQL databases use a different type of data model than relational databases, which are based on a relational model.
