What is Data Cleansing?

Data cleansing is a technique used to clean databases to eliminate erroneous, incomplete or inaccurate data. It also includes correcting formatting errors, enabling data integration, removing duplicates, and softening or adjusting non-standard data. Data cleansing is an important part of extract-transform-load (ETL) processes, where data is imported into a database from multiple sources and then stored in a user-friendly format.

What is InnoDB?

InnoDB is a relational database storage engine developed by Oracle Corporation and part of MySQL. It provides transaction security, isolation and parallel data processing. InnoDB is the preferred storage engine for most applications because it offers a number of features and options that other storage engines do not. These include atomicity, consistency, isolation and durability (ACID compliance), as well as performance and scalability improvements.
