Web3 (also known as Web 3.0) is a concept that refers to the next phase of the Internet's evolution. It is considered a decentralized, open, and secure version of the Internet based on blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies.
Web3 differs from Web 2.0, which refers to the current phase of the Internet's evolution, by providing more control and autonomy to users. It enables the creation of decentralized applications (dApps) where users can control their data and resources and not depend on centralized companies.
Web3 also includes the development of cryptocurrencies and digital assets, as well as the creation of decentralized financial applications (DeFi) and the use of smart contracts. There are many projects and initiatives dedicated to the development of Web3, including Ethereum, Polkadot, Cardano and many others.
