What are Progressive Web Applications (PWA)?

12/09/2022 | by Patrick Fischer, M.Sc., Founder & Data Scientist: FDS
Progressive Web Applications (PWA) are web applications that look and function like natively installed apps on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. They can be accessed using a web browser, but are also available offline, notify the user when new content is available, and can be installed on the device's home screen. PWAs offer an entirely new user experience that scales to many devices and allows users to interact with a website or app at a native level.
