Data literacy refers to the skills and abilities needed to effectively comprehend, interpret, analyze, and draw conclusions from data. These competencies encompass various aspects of handling data, both in professional and personal contexts. Key elements of data literacy include:

  • The capacity to interpret data and comprehend its context. This includes understanding data types, structures, and the significance of variables.

  • The capability to communicate data and analysis results effectively, both orally and in writing. This includes tailoring communication to the audience and avoiding unnecessary technical jargon.
